The Land of Ladyboy | 2010

After digging out my entire photo gallery from my previous laptop, I found some long lost photos taken years ago. On of it is this trip to the land of ladyboy, Thailand. My family and me decided to go for the beach rather that the busy city, so our first stop is Krabi.

Krabi is one of the southern provinces of Thailand, at the shore of the Andaman Sea.” – Wikipedia
After some research, we decided to stay at Phra Nang Inn Resort because it’s near to Ao Nang beach. Check out their website www.phrananginnresort.com. I fully recommend this hotel because of its reasonable price, beautiful rooms and good location. It’s so close to the beach, tourist spot where you can go for massage, manicure, and even organize your tour with the travel agent nearby.

We approached one travel agent in front of the hotel and after asking so many questions and bargaining we took their program for island hopping. The plan is to go to James Bond Island, Panyee Floating Village and Canoeing. Overall it was fun. =)

Our next destination is Phi Phi island, it’s famous for their white sandy beach. We took a speedboat from Krabi and stayed at Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel. The view of the hotel is great and the room is very spacious.

I thought Phi Phi island would be quite and small, turnout it was crowded and there are so many things happening there, from learning diving, island hopping, massage, shopping, culinary hunting and enjoy the night life there.

The one the I enjoyed the most was our Island hopping trip to Maya Bay.
“Maya Bay has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since The Beach was filmed here in 1999. It was always very popular before the film but now people around the world who haven't even heard of Phi Phi have certainly heard of Maya Bay.” - http://www.phiphi.phuket.com/beaches/maya-bay.htm
I didn’t take any photo in there because I have to swim to the island because of the high tide, but TRUST ME! It is incredible!! The water is aqua clear, the view of the cliff is amazing and the soft white sand is covering the beach. I really enjoyed my time swimming and sitting on the beach.  I think it’s a must visit place if you are around there. =)

Our next destination is Phuket! Heard a lot about these place, so finally I could put my feet over there. Yeyy!! It’s a very tourist spot, the night life is very happening, but makes me wondering when I was there, why is there a lot of Ladyboy around there?
What is Ladyboy?
“Ladyboy is a Thai term that refers to a transgender person or an effeminate gay male in Thailand.” – Wikipedia
If I saw a man walking with a ladyboy, there’s a question in my mind, is he gay or is he straight? Because most of the ladyboy are so pretty!! Some even prettier than me… hixxx. =( Or maybe those man can’t differentiate it? Or maybe they are gay but don’t want to be seen as a gay?  Or they like a woman with a penis? Hhmmmm… *thinking hard*

There is a famous ladyboy show in Phuket, It’s like a “must see” show if you are there.  So we bought the ticket to watch “Phuket’s Simon Cabaret”.
“It’s a spectacular display of colour, originality and fun. Phuket’s Simon Cabaret has become one of Southeast Asia’s outstanding entertainment attractions drawing a thousand enthused visitors from around the world each evening. A single show runs the entire range of musical theatre from cultures around the world. “ – www.phuket.com
It was entertaining and fun to watch. I was amazed on the entire show with the performance of those ladyboys and the quality that they have. So don’t forget to check them out. This is their website www.phuket-simoncabaret.com
